Canadian
Federation of University Women, Sunshine Coast Club Collection --
Members, events, Page 2
The
Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) was founded in 1919
by university women graduates committed to the pursuit of knowledge,
promotion of education, improvement of the status of women and participation
in public affairs. It is a member of the International Federation
of University Women, an organization of over fifty national federations
throughout the world. The Sunshine Coast Club, started in 1985, supports
the CFUW policies and goals raising money for two annual bursaries
through a variety of fund raising events. The group holds business
and social meetings most months of the year and sends a representative
to national and provincial conventions. It hosted the B.C. Annual
general meeting and Conference in 2003.
