Joyce Hubbs Collection-- Selma
Park Store, Page 1
Joyce Hubbs is the daughter of Dr. Fred Inglis of
Gibsons and wife of William Hubbs. Her father-in-law Harvey P.
Hubbs and wife Dorothy ran the Selma Park Grocery Store and
Post Office from the mid-1950s. They sold it before it burned
down in 1976.
The first Selma Park store was run by Mr. Reg. Dunn
during the All Red Line Steam- Ship Company's days. In 1919 it
was taken over by the Union Steamship Company until sold in
the 1950s. Mr. and Mrs. Redman also ran the store after Mr.
and Mrs. Hubbs. The butcher's department was run separately
from the other parts of the store.
