Dr. Alan Swan

Apr. 12, 2002

Dr. Alan Swan came to Pender Harbour in 1954 to tend patients in the first St. Mary's Hospital and remote logging camps. In the late 1950s, he moved his office to Sechelt and was closer to the new St. Mary's Hospital when it opened in Sechelt in the mid 1960s. From 1977 to 1981 he and his wife Rosa lived in Northern B. C.
