"Dear
Betty" -- Letters from Helen Dawe and Betty Youngson, 1981, Page
2
A
postal strike slows Helen and Betty's correspondence. Funds are raised
for Rockwood Lodge. Real estate prices are 'insane.' Developers' make
ongoing efforts to build up Sechelt. Betty provides Helen with a detailed
floor plan of the Relief Office where she worked (including the space
occupied by her employer's dogs), but is puzzled that she is unable
to remember the location of any bathroom facilities.

Dear
Helen and dear Bill,
I
thought I would make a start on a letter to you today as a look
at the calendar tells me that a reply to your lovely and most
welcome August letter is long past due.

Dear
Helen and Bill,
Before
the old year rolls out (and the postage goes up) cheapskate me
decided to at least make a start on a letter to you today, even
thought it won't be mailed for a while.
