1980 -- Bud Koch president of Sechelt and District Chamber of Commerce at the time the Chamber purchased Rockwood Lodge (also Sechelt mayor).

1930s -- The Konishi family first worked on Bowen Island then came to Sechelt where, in 1912, Jiro (Jimmy) worked for Bert Whitaker while establishing a successful farm with his wife Hannah and four children on the west side of Porpoise Bay. They sold fruit, vegetables and milk door to door and were also involved in the fishing industry on Sechelt Inlet. By 1938 Jimmy was the proprietor of the Settlers' Supply House in Selma Park. He died in 1939 prior to the family being interned during WW11. Jimmy, Hannah and son Seiji are buried in St. Hilda's cemetery in Sechelt.

Date unknown -- Marie Montgomery, second from right in both pictures, was a founding member of the Sechelt Library and its volunteer librarian from the mid 1970s until the mid 1980s. She was active in several organizations, particularly the St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary.
