-- A photograph of Joseph Gregson (1876-1971) who logged in and
around Vancouver and on the Sunshine Coast before he retired to
Greene Court in Sechelt in 1965. He served in the Boer War in
South Africa and came to British Columbia in 1903. He and two
partners established a brick yard at Storm Bay in Sechelt Inlet
from 1904-1906, later he ran a donkey engine at Gray Creek in
the Inlet and worked as an engineer at other logging camps on
the Sunshine Coast and in the Vancouver area. His first job was
to clear a lot on the south east corner of Granville and Robson
Streets. He corresponded with Vancouver City archivist Major Matthews.
