Early
1930s -- Gibson's Landing
Building
on pilings on the left was originally a glue factory constructed
by Le page Liquid Fish Glue, Oil and Fertilizer Company Ltd. Incorporated
February 15, 1907. The products were manufactured from dog fish.
The Union Steamship Company's vessel `Lady Cecilia' is at the
dock. The large white house on the left of the wharf is the C.
P. Smith home built on the site of George Gibson's house. Dr.
Fred Inglis built his home in 1912 about one block above the waterfront
and just right of centre of photo.
