Date unknown -- Big Maple Motel in Davis Bay (now a trailer court)

Coloured Postcard by Living Colour Advertising Agencies, New Westminster, B. C.

1970s? -- Helen Dawe states this photograph was not Davis Bay wharf as the shed on Davis Bay wharf was placed in the opposite direction. See Peninsula Times Newspaper clipping photograph March 14, 1973.

1983 -- Erosion of Davis Bay shoreline caused by 1982/1983 winter storms. The materials washed out were not nature's shoreline; instead it was just fill tossed along the beach by the Highways Department in the past. (Helen Dawe's notes)

The whale was captured a short distance from where he was penned.
