members of town service industries of Sechelt listed in alphabetical
order. Photographers include Edric Clayton, Charles Bradbury, Helen

1910-1916
-- Horace J. (Jack) Haslett married Herbert Whitaker's sister
Evelyn in 1907. They had five children, four boys and one girl.
Jack worked first for Herbert as a bookkeeper and later as manager
for the Union Estates Limited Bowen Island, Sechelt and Selma
Park operations. The photographs are of Jack, Evelyn and their
children, their home on Cowrie Street, known first as Red Cottage
then as Whitaker House and his sail boat.

-- Joseph Patrick (Paddy) Hatt photographed with a loaf of his
famous whole wheat bread. He was a trapper, fisherman and guide
in the Egmont area early in the twentieth century

unknown -- John Hayes pictured in the former Union Steamship dance
pavilion on the Boulevard where he operated a salaal packing plant,
a theatre and a rental apartment. His company was named "Reid
Fern and Moss Supple Company Evergreens from British Columbia."
The building was destroyed by fire in 1971

-- A studio photograph of Bessie Hermanson (nee Swanson) and husband
Ellis with three of their four children. Ellis, the eldest son
of Herman Carlson of Carlson Point, Sechelt Inlet, moved to Sechelt
in 1902 or 1903, became a Canadian citizen and moved with his
family to Colorado in 1915.

-- A photograph of three of four Hermanson children. Their father,
Ellis Hermanson , the eldest son of Herman Carlson of Carlson
Point, Sechelt Inlet, moved to Sechelt in 1902 or 1903, became
a Canadian citizen and moved with his family to Colorado in 1915.
