Series 6.6-- First Nations of Sechelt -- Totem Poles, Page 3

Photographs include the Sechelt 'Stone Image' (a seated figure bowl), brass bands, canoes, cemetery, the three churches and passion plays, identified individuals and groups, the residential school, pupils and nuns, totem poles and various village scenes. Photographers include Charles Bradbury, Phillip Timms, Helen McCall, Edric Clayton.

Date unknown -- Building on far left was the Union Steamship Company `Bath House', later the Calypso Room, the Whispering Pines Restaurant and the Parthenon Theatre Restaurant. Twin peaked building on the right was the Union Steamship Company Sechelt Dance Pavilion erected in 1926, with one peak, by Edric Clayton and Ronald Whitaker. The totem poles, commissioned by the Union Steamship Company, were carved between 1926 and 1929 by Sechelt Indian Dan Paul and Philip Paul Weenah of Rivers Inlet.
