Series 6.6-- First Nations of Sechelt -- Cemetery, churches, Page 7

Photographs include the Sechelt 'Stone Image' (a seated figure bowl), brass bands, canoes, cemetery, the three churches and passion plays, identified individuals and groups, the residential school, pupils and nuns, totem poles and various village scenes. Photographers include Charles Bradbury, Phillip Timms, Helen McCall, Edric Clayton.

196? -- Paving the street in front of Our Lady of Lourdes church on the Sechelt Band lands

1970 -- A coloured photograph of Our Lady of Lourdes church on the Sechelt band lands. Used as a Christmas card by the Honourable Isobel Dawson, B.C. MLA. The church burned down on October 24th. one day after the photograph was taken.

1970, October 23/24 -- Our Lady of Lourdes church on the Sechelt Band lands is destroyed by fire.

1973 -- The second Our Lady of Lourdes church on the Sechelt Band lands. The church was transported by barge from a former military base in Ladner, B.C. It was dedicated on December 2, 1973 by the Archbishop of Vancouver, James Carney.
