-- Government Road (later Highway 101) at Selma Park.
Ken
Walton, the child on the left, wrote that "the picture is of my
grandfather, Edwin F. Walton and me packing water between the
well (which was near the old tennis courts) and Uncle George's
house." "Uncle George" was George Walton of the firm Johnson,
Walton Steamships Ltd. of Vancouver. The Walton family lived in
Vancouver and summered at Selma Park for many years. Note the
telegraph line and pole on the inshore of the road.
