1975 -- Salt marsh at head of Porpoise Bay

Salt marsh purchased for a wildlife preserve by the Village of Sechelt

1981 -- Porpoise Bay debris

Debris in Porpoise Bay caused by heavy rains in the autumn of 1981, land slide into Salmon Inlet, high tides and swollen creeks. Most of the debris came from old logs which had been lying around for years. Note fish boats at wharf on the left and three Tyee Airways float planes.

1982 -- Aerial view of west side of Porpoise Bay

From left top to bottom are the following wharves: Len Van Egmond's small marina, Ted Osborne's small marina in front of his home, federal government wharf, built 1924, with floats at the end, Tyee Airways float and planes, float for moorage of small craft which Tyee Airways took over from the federal government, Henry Hall's wharf.
