photographs are of Union Steamship vessels, which operated between Vancouver,
Sechelt and Powell River. Some are of other steamship lines' vessels
or are of privately owned ships with connections to Sechelt.

Island wharf served the company from 1920 until 1949.

unknown -- The Union Steamship Company vessel S.S. Cardena, built
in Scotland in 1923, was the company's flag ship and was placed
on the northern route to Prince Rupert and Stewart replacing the
S.S Chelohsin. She sailed until 1959 when the USS fleet was sold
to the Northland Navigation Company.

-- Union Steamship Company vessel S.S. Cassiar 1 leaves the Sechelt
wharf. She was built in 1890, rebuilt by the USS in 1901 and served
the company until 1923.

unknown -- The S.S. Catala, built in Scotland in 1925 served under
the Union Steamship Company's flag on the run to Prince Rupert
and Alaska. She was sold in 1959 to the Northland Navigation Company.

1920s
-- The S.S. Lady Cecilia was built in Scotland in 1919 as a minesweeper.
She was purchased by the Union Steamship Company, renamed and
rebuilt in Scotland as a passenger vessel, and sailed the British
Columbia coastal waters from 1925 until 1951.
