1910-1916 -- Horace J. (Jack) Haslett married Herbert Whitaker's sister Evelyn in 1907. They had five children, four boys and one girl. Jack worked first for Herbert as a bookkeeper and later as manager for the Union Estates Limited Bowen Island, Sechelt and Selma Park operations. The photographs are of Jack, Evelyn and their children, their home on Cowrie Street, known first as Red Cottage then as Whitaker House and his sail boat.

Jack worked first for Herbert as a bookkeeper and later as manager for the Union Estates Limited Bowen Island, Sechelt and Selma Park operations. The photographs are of Jack, Evelyn and their children, their home on Cowrie Street, known first as Red Cottage then as Whitaker House and his sail boat.
