1913 -- Sechelt Indian Band's residential school, with service building
behind and orchard in fore ground, built for $11,000 with funds raised
by the Sechelt Indian Band from logging and fishing. The teaching staff
consisted of nuns of the order of the Sisters of the Child Jesus. Cows
grazed where St. Mary's Hospital is today.
