-- Procession of Roman Catholic clergy, Indian people and brass bands
leaving twin towered Our Lady of the Rosary Church on its way to the blessing
of St. Augustine's Indian residential school by Bishop Augustine Dontenwill.
The domed building behind the twin towered church was the second Indian
church, S.S. Redempteur or Church of the Most Holy Redeemer built in 1872
and blessed in 1873. It was probably used as the catechism house after
Our Lady of the Rosary was built and certainly as a meeting hall for the
Band. It burned down in 1934.
