Entrance
to the Sechelt Inn, once the Whitaker family home until 1926 when the
Union Steamship Company purchased the estate of Herbert Whitaker. Union
Estates, a subsidiary of the USS Company ran the Inn until selling it
1952 to Mrs. Florence Duncan. It was badly damaged by fire in 1963. Today
the Driftwood Inn stands on the site.
