c1930s, 1940s -- Union Steamship Waterfront Cottages

The three cottages on this coloured postcard were built by Arthur Tebb, in the 1920s, for the Union Steamship Company Estates. On either side were two cottages built earlier for Herbert Whitaker. The concrete breakwater was constructed when Jack Haslett was estate manager for the Union Steamship Company.
