The
steamer Chilco was built as the S.S. Santa Maria in Glasgow, Scotland
in 1883 and brought to B.C. by the All Red Line. It sold her to the Union
Steamship Company in 1917 when her name was changed to S.S. Chilco and
in 1935 to Lady Pam. She brought holiday makers and residents to Selma
Park and Sechelt for many years. After WW11 she was sunk as a breakwater
at Oyster Bay, Vancouver Island.
