1947 -- Built in 1915 as a luxury yacht M.V. Gulf Stream, seen off North Vancouver, was acquired by Gulf Lines Ltd. in 1947 and lost later the same year. It hit a rock eight miles north of Powell River and two women and three children drowned. It was not salvaged.
