1977 -- Sechelt Elementary School grade seven students plant a walnut tree donated by Mrs. Florence Montgomery (nee Cliff). Mrs. Montgomery had taught at two Sechelt schools; Porpoise Bay and West Sechelt schools, from 1919 to 1921
