Voices of Early Sechelt -- Interviews

Interview by Rosella Leslie.

Robert Lemieux

Feb. 3, 2003

Robert Lemieux and wife Kaye, nee Derksen were married in 1956. He had come to Pender Harbour for the summer in 1942 as his father had come to Klein Bay to crush oyster shells for a stucco company in Vancouver. Robert decided not to go back to school but to remain on the coast. For the next fifty years he was employed by various local logging companies and Kaye worked in local retail stores. He and Kaye lived in a number of locations on the coast, finally residing in a house on Cowrie Street, Sechelt.
